Bedford County E-911 is currently accepting applications for E-911 dispatchers. This position involves highly skilled emergency service work in a 24/7 communications center. The officer operates multiline telephone systems, radio consoles, and computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems to ensure the timely and effective dispatching of emergency and support service. The individual must exercise initiative and sound judgement within procedural boundaries when dealing with emotional and high stress calls in a variety of situations. This position reports to the E-911 director.
